The visible signature "Fabrique D'Horlogerie Paris" and the serial number 305 indicate the clock's French origin. French clock mechanisms were renowned for their high quality during the 19th and early 20th centuries. The dial features Roman numerals and intricate details, including a lion emblem and floral ornaments. This suggests a design inspired by classicism or neo-Baroque style. On the dial, there is a plaque with the inscription: “J. Bougeot à La Châtre.” This likely refers to the name of a retailer or a local clockmaker who sold the clock in La Châtre, France.
