Wonderful Louis XVI style gilded ormolu ornate carriage clock.
About the Item
A late 19th Century French gilded ormolu ornate carriage clock. Having this wonderful scrolling foliate Rococo style case with numerous seated putti picking fruits, inset hand painted porcelain panels depicting cupids, supported by mermaids and dolphins to the base. The movement having an eight day duration, striking on the hour and half hour, with a repeater button to the top.
