French Novelty Four Dial Tower Clock by Blumberg, Paris 19th Century

A large rare novelty Blumberg four face tower clock, circa 1880. The walnut case topped with a copper roof and all-over brass detailing, the long tower windows backed by blue glass, the decorative silver faces with ceramic inserts painted with red Roman numerals. Driven via a long shaft down the centre of the tower by an oval spring driven 8 day movement located in the base of the clock, with platform lever escapement. There is an oval plaque to the base marked 'Patent, Brevette, Blumberg & Co. Limited, Paris & London'. This is an extremely rare and desirable clock. The clock movement and case have been professionally restored to the highest standard.
