Black, Starr & Frost Victorian Egyptian Revival Clock Garniture Set, circa 1860

About the Item

An original, very rare Egyptian revival Mantle Clock and Obelisks garniture set by the very famous Black Starr & Frost, the oldest jewelry company in America founded in 1810. Garniture set dates from the 1860s and maker's name engraved underneath. Marble decorated with amazing engravings and inlay with polychromed with silver and gold colors. This is an original piece, and not the reproductions found these days sold for dozen thousands dollars. Amazingly , the Clock which is a little normally rusty because of age, works and comes with key. Clock measures 15,75" in width, 7" in depth and 10" tall. The obelisks measure 7" in width, 4.75" in depth and 20.25" in height.

    Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Set in good antique condition with wear appropriate for the age and history. A small chip on the under left front top of the clock, barely noticeable.
