English Sinclair Harding Harrison Grasshopper Double Pendulum Sea Skeleton Clock
Sinclair Harding, Cheltenham, a skeletonized "John Harrison Sea Clock", the polished brass timepiece movement with large escape wheel and dual compound pendulums, each carrying a counterpoised pallet, roman numeral silvered dial with separate seconds bit above 12:00, the lower part of the front plate with a Sinclair Harding badge, and scroll ornament below a reserve engraved with the serial #H- 024, the frame resting on rectangular plinths and mounted to a rectangular wooden base with conforming glass cover
Condition
running well, pendulum rods with minor oxide, barrel surface with a substantial amount of graphite grease residue, front plate with spot of corrosion, back plate with minor fingerprint staining, base with minor losses to finish, glass cover with two small chips.
