French 19th Century Louis XVI St. Three Piece Garniture Set, Signed Denière

About the Item

A sensational and high quality French 19th century Louis XVI st. three piece garniture set, signed Denière, Paris. The elegant set includes a pair of two arm candelabras raised on square Rouge Griotte marble plinths richly decorated by Ormolu berried laurel bands flanked by foliate rosettes all over topie shaped supports. Above are two playful patinated Bronze cherubs holding cornucopias fitted with their original bobeches inside the candle cup filled with fruits above a tree stump. The clock is raised on the same base as the candelabras, with the enameled dial flanked by two outer 'S' scrolled acanthus leaves and surrounded by a twisted ribbon design. At the top of the clock is an open winged patinated Bronze cherub seated on a draped pedestal holding his bow and arrow. At his side are floral branches below the his quiver filled with additional arrows. Clock Dimensions: H: 19" L: 10.75" D: 7" Candelabra Dimensions: H: 12.75" L: 6.5" D: 5.25"
