About the Item

Very pretty model for this gilded bronze clock from the Napoleon III period in Louis XV rocaille style dating from the 19th century. Very good quality of gilding and entirely original. Complete with bell and pendulum. In the center, very beautiful chiseled bronze dial with the portrait of the God Hermes represented with, around the edge, Roman numerals in white and blue enamel. On either side, two puttis and garlands of flowers frame the dial. On top, a large basket of flowers and fruits enhances the whole. Movement signed "Guiche, Palais Royal". Pendulum of very good quality and in very good condition. Dimensions Height 38.5cm Width 53cm Depth 16cm
