Imhof mid-century table clock Enamel painted dial (represents a galleon) Manual winding (8 days of winding) 15 jewels Works properly Case number 12329 Circa 1960 Origin Switzerland Mid-century style The clock has 4 legs on which it rests and has 2 doors that open It is signed at the bottom of the dial Its patina has some natural wear from use Mid-century modern was an artistic movement applied to architecture, interior design, industrial design and graphic design. It had its peak after World War II, approximately between the years 1945 and 1969, in the United States, although it has its roots in Europe, specifically in the Bauhaus school.1​2​ The term was coined in 1984 by the author Cara Greenberg in her book Mid-Century Modern: Furniture of the 1950s. It is characterized by its clean lines, simple shapes and bright colors.2
