About the Item

This clock was made by the well known Kundo clock company of Germany and dates to approximately 1970 and done in a Mid-Century Modern style. This World globe clock shows the various time zones on the face, with a black and light indicator band to show where in the world it is night or day at any time. The clock has a quartz movement and takes a standard C size battery and is in working order. The clock is clearly signed on the bottom of the face and on the back as presented.

This enameled silver desk clock is unsigned, so a specific maker cannot be identified, but the case was made in France, and the movement in Switzerland in the period and style of Art Deco. The silver content of the case has not been tested, but is believed to be Continental or .800 or just under .925 sterling, The front of the clock is ornately enameled with raised bright red flowers on each corner with contrasting black and red geometric panels with green accents, which are duplicated on the sides.
