Mid-Century Modern Clock by Suzanne Bonnichon for Jacques Adnet, France

About the Item

French mechanical clock, designed as a set of drums by Suzanne Bonnichon for Jacques Adnet, part of her line for children rooms' furnishing. Manufactured in painted wood, brass, cord, and hand painted numerals, circa 1952. Original wind-up key is present. A nearly identical clock is depicted in an article from "Maisons & Jardin"'s September 1952 issue. It's in its original working condition. Would benefit of a professional cleaning and tuning.
