Nautical themed Desk Compendium Industrial rotating Globe Clock

About the Item

A combined timepiece, weather station and globe desk piece industrial clock. Constructed of onyx and silvered and gilt bronze. The white onyx base with timepiece in shaped bronze case, and rotating globe above, the dial with gilt bronze centre and silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals. To the sides of case a thermometer set into an anchor with aneroid barometer and small magnetic compass. 8 day movement with platform lever escapement. The globe signed 'E. Bertaux, Editeur, Rue Serpente 25, Paris' for the maker of the globe. Fine and unusual piece.
