Viennese Enamel and Silver Clock, 19th Century

About the Item

Viennese enamel and silver clock, 19th century. Small silver and multicolored enamel clock. It is richly decorated with mythological scenes, people in flowing garments and Cupids in landscapes. The circular clock face marks the hours in Roman numerals and is surrounded by a lively composition of Cupids. The column-shaped mounting is sculpted with foliage and scrollwork. Each of the four corners of the top of the clock is decorated with a child, and a seated, winged Cupid sits on top of the piece. Clockwork has been cleaned, serviced and is in working condition, mid-19th century. circa 1850. Dimensions: L 2.8 in, W 2.4 in, H 6.5 in. Dimensions: L 7 cm, P 6 cm, H 16.5 cm.
