Vintage Art Nouveau Period Emmanuel Villains Porcelain Sculpture with Clock
About the Item
This vintage Art Nouveau sculpture with clock is designed in a hard paste white porcelain. A sensuous young scantily dressed female figure is positioned upon the ledge of the town well. A pensive face sets a somber mood. A clock is placed within the head of the tall fountain. The white enamel clock face is decorated with floral garlands & has Arabic numerals. The clock has a key wind movement & bell chime. The artist, E. Villanis' signature is inscribed in the porcelain. The undersurface of the base is "stamped" with the numeral "1". This Fine example of period Art Nouveau splendor created by a prominent artist will be an asset to any collector.
