ZENITH 1930 Art Deco French Enameled Travel-Purse Watch In .900 Sterling Silver

About the Item

A travel-purse watch designed by Zenith France. This is a beautiful and very rare travel-purse watch, created during the art deco period by the Swiss watchmakers company of Zenith, back in the 1930. This pocket-purse watch is highly collectible and has been crafted with geometric cushioned patterns in solid .900/.999 sterling silver and embellished with application of red and black enamels. The case is fitted with a hinge and a snap closure system. Dial: Triangular, silvered with golden Arabic numbers, with dotted batons, blued steel hands and secondary dial for seconds. Signed Zenith Swiss, Movement: Mechanical hand-winding. Case: French made in sterling silver with red and black enamel, hinged with snap lock. Weight: 85.95 Grams, (55.10 Dwt). Measurements: 58 mm by 38 mm by 14 mm (2.28 x 1.50 x 0.55 Inches). Hallmarks: Stamped with French and Swiss marks, two times with the helmeted Minerva mark for the assay and warranty of the .900 silver, the seven-digits reference numbers and signed in full as follow, "ZENITH 3424942 FAB SUISSE BREVETT ZZ". Condition: The overall condition of this Zenith travel watch is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the silver or the enamels.
