Terra Cotta Train Station Clock
About the Item
Reed & Sterns' early 20th Century renovation reflected popular architectural trends of the period. The sculptural elements surrounding the 30" clockface elegantly demonstrate characteristics consistent with the Beaux Arts movement used throughout the terminal. Fashioned in a white terra cotta, glazed in an emerald green, and divided into sections, the mass of the clock boasts beautifully detailed relief demonstrating classic Grecian motifs.
