Stylish and top condition wall clock. Over the years we have sold a few dozen wall clocks and they all had something special about them. For those who have been buying and/or collecting vintage wall clocks from the Mid-century style period in particular will immediately see what makes this wall clock extra special. This very rare specimen is made of most beautiful and warm colored teak wood and it is that beautiful color and the wonderful patterns of this woodtype that give this vintage clock its unique look and feel. The timeless design (no pun intended) and the combination of the warm colored teakwood and the perfectly contrasting brass dials and numerals make this rare clock a true gem to own, to use AND to look at. To have found this rare and symmetrical wall clock was a treat, finding it in this superb condition and with such a great patina was like the cherry on the proverbial pie. For it to run and strike perfectly was another major plus and it all means that this work of beauty has always been loved and well looked after. So if you are looking for a rare, beautiful and good condition Scandinavian wall clock in perfect working order then this semi-antique specimen from circa 1950/60 could be perfect for you. This work of beauty comes with the original pendulum as well as the weights and chains via which both the smooth running eight-day mechanism and the gong striking mechanism can be wound. Thanks to the original hook on the back, safely mounting this clock on your wall too is child's play. And if that was not enough, this finest of Black Forest clocks is top quality carved from top to bottom in the form of a detailed Swiss chalet. Mind you, this very rare antique clock is entirely hand carved out of nutwood only, which is another sign of the quality of the workmanship and the richness of materials.
