But very quickly, Lucien Brillié (engineer) will help his brother Henri to create electric clocks: the Brillié Frères workshops were born. They are not the first to build an electric clock but will allow its democratization thanks to remote synchronization. The principle is simple, a master clock made it possible to send an electrical impulse to 5,10, 15 clocks. This ensured perfect synchronization and avoided the loss of time associated with rewinding the clocks. Whether in France or abroad, many factories, stations, schools, etc. will thus be equipped with this very innovative system. The Brillié company will experience a strong period of growth in the 60s and 70s and will become the overwhelming leader of industrial watchmaking in France. However, the company will have difficulty adapting to technological changes and Asian competition in the 80s and ceased its activity in 1987.
