French Bronze Cartel Clock

About the Item

This vintage mid 19th century French Louis XV style cartel (wall) clock is beautifully designed. The dramatic sculpted bronze large clock is decorated with sweeping scrolled leaves & floral vines that dominate its appearance. A cream color enamel face with Roman numerals & distinct second markers are visible behind a hinged bronze framed curved clear glass door. Prominently displayed on the clock face, the words NORA & NANCY, are found below the XII & above the VI, respectively. The clock has a keywind/French bell movement with the original key & pendulum. This clock runs, but will require a cleaning &/or service to keep accurate time.
