About the Item

Large Gustavian wall clock with a movement signed by Jacob Kock (1737-1805). He was a court clockmaker in Stockholm and supplied clocks to the court of King Gustav III. This pendulum features a spectacular design, crowned with a rooster at the top. The enameled movement is surrounded by floral swags. The glass in front of the movement is original. The lower part has double garlands and is finished with a large pinecone. The case has its original gilding.
