A fine and impressive antique gilt metal and guilloche enamel eight-day timepiece in the Art Nouveau style; an addition to our ornamental collection. This impressive antique gilt metal clock has a circular form. The casing of the clock is ornamented a band of cream Bakelite accented with a bead decorated border to the rim. The purple guilloche enamel dial is ornamented with alternating painted gold hour numerals and subtle quatrefoil motifs to the outer circumference of the plain chapter ring with minute markers. The face of this timepiece is visible through a circular glass 'window'. The clock is fitted with gilt metal fancy hands in the Art Nouveau style. The eight-day Swiss movement to the centre of the posterior surface incorporates the crown and integrated loop handled winding key. This impressive antique timepiece is supported by a hinged strut with Art Nouveau style scrolling lobed terminals. The clock is in working order and keeps good time.
