Rare Royal Copenhagen Wall Clock by Poul Pedersen, Model 5151, Denmark, 1976

About the Item

Scarce and sculptural space age wall clock designed by Danish artist Poul Pedersen for Royal Copenhagen, model no. 5151. This star-shaped clock was approved for production on August 27, 1974 and manufactured in limited numbers around 1976. Executed in white-glazed faience, the clock reflects the bold and experimental design language of Royal Copenhagen during the 1970s. A striking minimalist space age piece with a strong sculptural presence, it is marked on the back with the Royal Copenhagen three-wave logo and model number. The original clockwork mechanism is fully functional. It is a rarely seen piece on the international market and highly collectable.
