Swedish Rococo Ormolu Bracket Clock by Petter Söderman, Stockholm, circa 1770 €3.770 Add to Cart Description Swedish Rococo bracket clock in two parts, consisting of the clock case and matching wall bracket, made around 1770 and signed “Petter Söderman – Stockholm”. The clock is designed to be wall-mounted, with the case resting on the separate bracket. The case is made of veneered, book-matched tulipwood and is richly decorated with ormolu bronze mounts in the form of foliage, flowers, and rococo scrollwork. Both the top section and the wall bracket are likewise fitted with ormolu mounts in the same style. The dial is white-painted with Roman and Arabic numerals and bears the clockmaker’s signature. The hands are gilt brass. The clock retains its original movement, key, and pendulum, and the movement is in working order.
