EDWARDIAN 1900 Mechanical Perpetual Desk Calendar With Painted Hunting Scene

About the Item

An Edwardian perpetual desk calendar. This is a very unusual and beautiful mechanical desk perpetual calendar. This desk calendar was made in London England during the Edwardian period, back in the 1900. The gorgeous piece has been crafted in the shape of a rectangular box with a hinged lid, which is embellished with a painting depicting a hunting scene which is protected by a glass. The box section of the calendar is lined in the interior with cedar wood and the calendar itself is fitted at the sides with two small levers to adjust the number days of the month. In addition, it has 6 removable metal plates printed on both sides with the name of the months in English. This piece is super interesting and is very well made with great details. This box will decorate your desk very well and will surely be a very interesting topic of conversation. Weight: 358.2 Grams, (0.36 Kg.). Measurements: 115 mm by 95 mm by 85 mm (4.5 x 3.75 x 3.35 Inches). Signatures: Stamped with two set of patents registry numbers for both, the upper and lower parts. 462041 495369.
