Valuable brass barometer station consisting of clock and barometer 1890
About the Item
Valuable brass barometer station, consisting of clock and barometer inserted inside two irons from horseback surmounted by a pair of polo sticks.
French manufacture for the English market in the late 19th century.
Barometric station consisting of two cast brass horseshoes embellished at the edges with hard stones set in turquoise, topped with a pair of cast brass polo mallets
Housed inside the horseshoes is inserted an aneroid barometer with an enameled copper dial with weather indications and a spring-wound clock, enameled copper dial with hour indications in Arabic numerals, the interior of the dial is embellished with fine gilt copper decorations.
Good condition, clock and barometer serviced and working.
Measurements 20x5x10 cm - inches 8x2x4.
