A selection of antique Grand Tour marbles. In an inclined display structure made of lacquered cherry wood and profiled in black (ebony wood), a collection of twenty-eight sample examples of marbles, breccias, ancient porphyries. The marbles are separated by wooden fillets of ebony and maple. On the back the words relating to the examples. Italy, circa 1850.
