Vintage 1950s Persian Khatam desk set in solid wood Mosaic inlay with brass tips pen holder. The wooden base is khatam covered and there is a miniature painting scene in the top flat surface of young people, girls and boys wearing period costumes dancing and enjoying the outdoors. Vintage Persian khatam hand painted pen and letter desk set. This is a beautiful Persian Khatam Desk Set. It has a letter or business card slot or letter slot at the top of the desk. There are also 2 brass tip pen holders (one on each side of the writing section of the desk) and a small little drawer in the center of the desk. It also has 4 nice flat round feet so that it can be set just about anywhere and easily picked up and moved just as easily. The mosaic design work is gorgeous, using various color woods and other natural materials. This wooden desk set pen holder is completely covered with Khatam inlaid mosaic marquetry. Nice Islamic Moorish decorative item on a desk top or shelf decor. Both pen holders are flexible and can be adjusted. Just a beautiful Desk Set!
