We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely made in Austria stamped Ink well depicting an Arabic carpet seller which is after and original design by Franz Bergman
This is a very decorative piece, the original is a lamp by Bergman which is around £6500 gbp, this is in the taste / style of but not by Bergeman hence the price being drastically less
The condition is perfect for the age so far as I can see, its stamped to the base Made In Austria which is where all the very best cold painted bronze comes from, this is most likely spelter that has been bronzed to the finish and hand painted
