Antique Victorian Silver & Leather Hip Flask – Birmingham 1890/91 A fine Victorian silver-mounted hip flask, hallmarked for Birmingham, 1890 (cup) and 1891 (lid), by Colen Hewer Cheshire. The body is glass, clad in dark brown crocodile leather with a central viewing panel. It features a hinged bayonet cap and a detachable silver drinking cup, gilt-lined to the interior. Matching hallmarks to lid and cup. Dimensions: Height: 14 cm Width: 7.5 cm Depth: 3.5 cm Condition: In good, honest condition for age. The glass is intact and undamaged. Silver surfaces show light wear and tarnish but remain well preserved, with clearly struck hallmarks. The leather covering shows some wear and age-related creasing but is secure. The bayonet catch to the cap is working and closes tightly.
