French Art Nouveau Bronze Letter Opener, Feather and Pinecone Motif, 1890s to early 1900s
A wonderful and original French Art Nouveau bronze letter opener, dating from the 1890s to early 1900s. This finely cast piece features a beautifully detailed motif of feathers and a pinecone, characteristic of the naturalistic elegance of the Art Nouveau period.
The letter opener is made of solid bronze, with a warm patina developed over time. It is signed on both sides, though the signature is not clearly identifiable. The craftsmanship reflects the refined artistry and organic design language typical of late 19th-century French decorative objects.
