Antique Continental Hand Carved Novelty Ink Stand & Pen Tray Camel Formed
About the Item
Antique continental hand carved novelty ink stand & pen tray camel formed.
A finely hand carved ink stand modeled as a sitting camel circa early 20th century. The hump opens to Revel two glass lined ink wells to the forefront and a carved inset area serving as a pen holder. Marked North Belgium on felt on the underside. Possibly from Belgium, but most likely continental. Mark in pen inset in shape of arrowhead.

Dimension: 9.3 in. x 5.9 in. x 6 in. tall
Condition: Great overall condition. No apparent losses to the wood. The underside of the interior of the lid revealing a couple shrinkage cracks. The top part of the cover possibly with a restored shrinkage crack or a subtle current one.
