English Edwardian Butler's Letter Box

About the Item

Antique Edwardian Butler's Mail Box Carved Wood and Mother of Pearl With Key from a Palm Beach estate. There are cracks in the fretwork which do not hurt the structure; the key fits but does not cause the lock peg to move - possibly the mechanism is frozen; currently the key works as a handle to open the two letter compartments - answered and unanswered. The size is 10 1/2" w x 5 1/2" deep and 4 1/2" h (or 5" including the key).
