Andrew Szoeke "H" Monogram Marquetry Wood Cube Paperweight

About the Item

Here is a rare and wonderful monogram "H" cube or paperweight by American designer, Andrew Szoeke. This cube combines Szoeke's mastery of graphic art and typography with inlaid wood marquetry. Each of the four sides feature a different "H" font in a mix of wood veneers. The cube, which measures approximately 4" x 4" x 4", is in very good condition with minor blemishes consistent with age and use. There is no major veneer damage which is often seen in Szoeke's furniture and accessories. Plus, this example retains its original gold foil Szoeke label. We also have an "L" cube by Szoeke posted on 1stdibs. These cubes are hard-to-find and make a very handsome desk or shelf accessory.
