Antique Boston Sandwich or French Miniature Scramble Paperweight

About the Item

A fine antique scramble paperweight. With an entertaining collector's label to the base that reads 'Sandwich Junk Wt.'. That collector thought it was a Boston Sandwich weight. We're unsure if this is American or French. So, Baccarat, Saint Louis, or New England Glass Co......? In any case, a lovely miniature scramble paperweight! Date: Mid to Late 19th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall fair, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: There is a chip to the side wall, fleabites & minor chipping to the dome & extensive fritting around the foot (that we think is from 'in the making'). Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Maker: Attributed to Sandwich, NECG, St. Louis, or Baccarat. Measurements: Diameter: ca. 45 mm Height: ca. 26 mm Items purchased from this dealer must delight you. Purchases may be returned for any reason for a period of 7 days.
