A fine limited edition glass paperweight by Caithness. Entitled 'Uranus'. From the Planet Series of paperweights by Colin Ferris & Peter Holmes. No. 71 from an edition of 500. Simply a wonderfully rare paperweight! Date: 1971 Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: There are a few tiny fleabites to the surface and significant wear to the base. Otherwise, there are some other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.     This is a beautiful Caithness glass paperweight named "Ascension", designed by Alastair Macintosh and dating to the last quarter of the 20th century. This is a very attractive cone shaped clear glass paperweight, well handmade (hand blown) with a very intricate internal design called Elixir.
