About the Item
This highly unusual picture frame was handcrafted in 1920 ca. probably as a souvenir of a nice sea side summer holiday. It is made out of cardboard and sand and decorated with a variety of shells. It has 7 compartments for pictures or photographs.
Some of the original photographs show cheerful bathers dressed in beachwear in the early 1920s by the seaside. The black and white photos have been handcoloured.
