Antique Baroque Hand Hammered Sterling Silver Picture Frame
About the Item
An absolutely stunning antique baroque hand hammered sterling silver picture frame that can be hung either vertically or horizontally. Likely from Mexico or South America, early 1900s or perhaps older. The silver was hand crafted and then attached to a wood (perhaps cedar) support). The back of the frame opens to accommodate a 9 7/8 x 7 1/8 picture. Two illegible hallmarks are stamped into the silver, see the 3rd photo. This exceptional piece would make an unforgettable wedding or anniversary present; perfect for a very special wedding or family photo!
In as found condition. Random dinks in the silver from use, see photos. Hinges, clasps and hangers work well to make this a very functional picture frame. less
