About the Item
PRESENTING a FABULOUS Original and Rare, Art Deco Brass and Black Enamel Photo Frame.
Probably French and made circa 1925-30.
Brass/Ormolu Frame with inset black enamel panels.
The sides of the frame are decorated with an inset panel of parallel lines on all sides.
The front of the frame has an outer brass/ormolu, edging/banding of vertical lines between a series of cross ribbon designs.
This is replicated on the inner brass/ormolu, edging/banding.
Between the bandings, are inset black (glass like) panels with a large bouquet medallion on each side.
The front corners, likewise have ormolu ‘pillar’ style medallions.
It has it’s original glass and the rear is original, with some losses to the original brown velvet and repairs to the hinge stand. These help ‘prove’ that the piece is an ‘authentic’ … ‘period’ … Art Deco piece.
The frame front, is in near mint condition, as can be seen from the photos.
This is a VERY HIGH QUALITY photo frame and very few have survived.
