Lovely rustic black Forest photo frame from the late 19th century, around 1880 in Austria. Elaborately hand carved out of bass wood this antique photo frame shows a charming traditional tree trunk design which the dark brown almost black stained surfaces reinforces. Coming with the still original mouth blown glass plates, this extraordinary elongated frame can hold a photo up to a maximum size of 3.9" x 7.8". A late 19th century Black Forest photo frame coming in great restored condition. This photo frame could be used either potrait- and landscape format.
