About the Item

A well-executed 18th century Baroque picture frame of exuberant design, circa 1750. The paint appears to cover a formerly gilded frame. The back retains an old label in script, probably in Italian. Some gilding shows through at the bosses on all four corners. A finely crafted piece is overall very attractive condition. Circa 1750.
