Sugarcane Harvesters From Puerto Rico Watercolor Painting by Irizarry

About the Item

This is a Sugarcane Harvesters Scene Painting in Puerto Rico by Irizarry. It depicts a watercolor painting of three sugarcane workers in a canaveral or cane landscape. One is walking away holding a cane stick and beside a peasant lady; the second one is resting near a dog and the third one is behind him cutting sugarcane. It is a sunny day and all of the peasants workers (jibaros) are wearing the traditional ‘Pava” hats or Puerto Rican straw hats. The painting is signed at the right side by Irizarry. It is mounted in a wooden frame.
