19th Century Buddha Shrine

About

This exceptionally detailed Burmese Buddha shrine dates to the 19th century. Originally used to hold a sacred bronze Buddha figure, it is beautiful work of art on its own. The base is teakwood and it has been covered in red lacquered genuine liquefied, gold gilt and mirror fragments that create a bejeweled appearance.
