"Seated Violinist" by Bernard Kim A very fine mid 20th Century modernist bronze study on a young man seated on a chair whilst playing the violin with excellent colour & detail ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Height: 24.5 cm Condition: Excellent Original Condition Circa: 1980 Materials: Bronze SKU: 9370 ABOUT Bernard Kim, born in 1942, is a Korean-American sculptor renowned for his mastery in stone and bronze. Initially trained under Kim Man Sul, he honed his skills as a stone craftsman for over a decade before earning a scholarship to a prominent American art college. His artistic trajectory shifted when he collaborated with his mentor on a life-size bronze replica of China's Boshin Bell, igniting his passion for bronze sculpture. Kim's works, often depicting Native American themes, have been auctioned internationally, with notable pieces like "Head of an Indian with a single feather headdress" fetching significant attention.
