Abstract Figurative Sculpture No. 3 by Birgit Piskor 'Canada'

About

Striking and elegant are but a few adjectives that describe this limited edition abstract figurative sculpture Titled Jump for Joy Series No. 3 by Canadian artist Birgit Piskor, whose praises continue to be sung by an ever-growing list of collectors. Piskor applies a formulated concrete compound onto a handcrafted steel armature and hand-molds the compound into the abstract figure shown. After completion of the form she hand paints the sculpture with a graphite paint. After allowing the paint to completely dry, she then seals the piece to protect it from sun, wind and water. The sculpture is set onto a pin that is embedded in a square hand-carved concrete base that gives the sculpture greater height and presence. Edition 1 of 10, signed.
