Wooden paperweight or decorative pebble sculpture.
From Denmark dating back to the 1970s.
The object is crafted from an assembly of different wood species. It employs a technique reminiscent of marquetry, but here it involves solid wood pieces (not veneer).
The wood blending of different shades adds a very elegant finish. Its free-form shape gives it a mineral look, comparable to a pebble stone from the seaside.
Would be very decorative displayed on a desk or shelves, just for its beautiful design. It can also be used as a paperweight.
