Charles Splady (Artist)
Oakland artist Charles Splady bronze abstract sculpture, abstract forms placed in a bronze base on raised bronze legs, created in 1992, signed on the underside and having a soft patina to the bronze. Splady attended California College of the Arts from 1969 to 1971 receiving a BFA in Sculpture, opened Splady Art Studios in 1971 to the present. His work has been shown and placed in various public places and museums. 1972 exhibition at the M.H. de Young in San Francisco and "Sculpture Courtyard" exhibit, Oakland Museum, Oakland CA, Mills College Prieto collection, Oakland, CA and the collection of the Corning Glass Museum, Corning NY.
