About the Item
This alluring brutalist abstract mermaid floor sculpture has been hand skillfully crafted out of hundreds of individually welded steel pieces of various shapes. Its intriguing 360 degree design features a torso form upper body, an elongated and narrowed spinal mid section and a beautifully curved lower body and tail. It is accented with five spherical metal bubbles, sits atop a salvaged metal base and has an aged bronze color finish. Acquired from a collector who purchased at auction in Corpus Christi, TX. Artist's mark engraved in base next to auction lot number.
