About the Item

A bronze sculpture on lucite bases titled "Involute Concrescence" by Giorgio Zennaro. Signed and dated 1973 with an annotation of 2/3. An abstract sculpture with movement and energy. Zennaro uses all materials and especially, in the seventies, plexiglass, which through staggered and overlapping forms restores all the imaginative charm of water. In the dynamic successions of the plexiglass sequences, light plays an important role and the transparency of the material allows us to glimpse the birth of the formal trace. The bronze and lucite adds modern elegance within a space. From a private collection. In very good condition. Measures 36.25 inches tall, 56 inches long, and 5.75 inches wide. Giorgio Zennaro (1926-2005) was an Italian sculptor, painter and designer. His artistic activity began early with his participation from 1953 to 1965 in all the Group Sculpture Exhibitions of the Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation and in 1955 he won the first prize of the Municipality of Venice. Since 1971 he has been a well-known professor of plastic art at the State Institute of Art in Campo dei Carmini in Venice, now the State Art High School , and he will teach here until 1991. He had solo exhibitions followed in Venice, Milan (Pietra Gallery), Genoa (Rotta Gallery), Graphic Gallery in Palm Springs (California), Bologna (La Loggia Gallery), Milan (Falchi Gallery), Munich (Eichinger Gallery), New York (Randall Galleries). He participated in the 1977 Arte Fiera in Bologna, Art Expo New York 1979 , Wash Art 79, Expò Art '79 Bari, Art Expo 1980 Coliseum New York, Art 12 1981 Basel (Switzerland), Arteder 1982 (Bilbao), Shada Gallery ( Riyadh , Saudi Arabia).
