Born in Naples on 11 August 1892belongs to an ancient family of majolica makers from whom he learned the secrets of ceramic art. Very talented modeler, he stands out for his beautiful animal sculptures. He moved to Treviso with his brother Mario and worked at the 'Gregori' factory and in 1915 he successfully participated in the Treviso Art Exhibition. Occasionally he also collaborates with the company 'Lazzar & Marcon' of Treviso. In 1920 he presented some works at the XII Venice Biennale and the following year he exhibited at the Treviso Regional Art Exhibition. The King of Italy, Mussolini, Starace and Prince George of England purchase some of his works. In 1927, together with his brother Mario and Angelo Bignami in the role of administrative and commercial director of the company, founds the 'Gres d'Arte Cacciapuoti Bignami & C.' based in Milan in viale Premuda 34. In 1930, due to the untimely death of his brother, he remains the sole owner of the company. The factory immediately met with great success and became famous for the realistic animal sculptures made by Guido. Guido Cacciapuoti died in1953 . Source
