Hand Blown Glass Sculpture, Amethyst Disc, One of a Kind, by Vetro Vero

Estimated Production Time7-8 weeks

About

A luminous sculptural statement in Amethyst hand blown glass, the circular color wheel sculpture is blown and expanded to create an ecliptic disc form. Presented on a sturdy hand-fabricated metal Stand, the purple sculpture is made-to-order and handcrafted from start to finish by Vetro Vero designers and makers Michael Schunke and Josie Gluck. The luminous round disc is finished with a glass spiral -- a single line -- swirled from centre to rim; and consistent with Vetro Vero's distinctive language of colored glass, a brilliant olive green centre provides a focal point. A contemplative art object in a range of light sources from natural to ambient, the blown glass color wheel sculpture is a thoughtful addition to an interior space. Distinguished by remarkable clarity, spectacular colors, and exquisite craftsmanship, Vetro Vero (Italian: “True Glass”) is the award-winning design studio of glassmakers Michael Schunke and Josie Gluck. With over 40 years of combined experience, Schunke and Gluck merge expert knowledge, keen intuition and obsessive finesse to inform the Vetro Vero design sensibility. Founded to deliver harmony to contemporary lifestyles through form and color, Vetro Vero preserves and refines the meaning of excellence in contemporary Craft. The color wheel sculptures are hand blown in America by Vetro Vero. Sold as an individual object with hand fabricated Stand custom-built to fit the sculptural glass component. Dimensions are approximate, and subtle variations in color and size are to be expected. Glass sculpture with black metal stand: 4" x 17-19" wide x 20" tall.
