Jonathan Clarke Sand-Cast Aluminum Ewer Form Sculpture with Fitted Base, UK 80s

About the Item

Jonathan Clarke Sand-Cast Aluminum Ewer Form Sculpture with Fitted Base, UK 80s Unique two-piece sand-cast aluminum sculpture by acclaimed British artist Jonathan Clarke (b. 1961), son of renowned sculptor Geoffrey Clarke RA. Jonathan Clarke apprenticed with his father from an early age, mastering the innovative sand-casting technique that defines his work. Each sculpture begins as a hand-carved polystyrene form, which is then cast in aluminum, resulting in a one-of-a-kind piece that cannot be replicated. Clarke is celebrated for his striking abstract and architectural forms, often inspired by social, spiritual, and mythological themes. His sculptures have been widely exhibited and are held in major collections and public spaces throughout the UK and abroad. This particular work is the largest of three signed and numbered Clarke sculptures currently available. THIS PIECE IS THE MEDIUM-SIZE OF THE THREE.
